Tips For Exam Week

Well today has been nothing but stressful, so it feels right to blog a little bit to unwind. I know most colleges are in full swing of exam week, but I have two days of class left, and exams go through next Wednesday. Hopefully this Christmas break will not start off on the wrong foot like last year's (more on that topic next week ;) )

In preparation for exams, I decided to post some tips that have helped me prepare for my exams in such a stressful time!

Tips For Kicking Exam Week's Butt

1. Sleep. I cannot stress this enough. Your body needs rest and energy to do well with exams. Coffee and Red Bull can only keep your body fueled for so long before crashing and burning. Make sure to get lots of rest the nights before you have exams.

2. Eat. Just like sleeping, eating is also important. And exam week is the perfect time to get that patty melt you've been avoiding all semester because you've been trying to be healthy. I try to eat healthy most of the time, but exam week is one where calories don't count.

3. Make a list. And check it twice. The first thing I do after Thanksgiving break is over is write down everything I have left to do before Christmas break. Everything. Every assignment. Every meeting. Every group project. Every exam. Write it down and then feel a great sense of accomplishment when you can mark it off!

4. Know your exam times. Make sure you know when and where your exams are. The last thing you want to do during exam week is miss an exam. Set an extra alarm if you are worried you will oversleep your 8am exam.

5. Set aside times to study. Set a schedule of when you are going to study for each exam and stick to it. Don't schedule one study sesh right after another, give yourself a little break in between to clear your head.

6. Take breaks! Like I said in #5, you need to take breaks and rest your brain in between subjects. Take a walk or a nap, get some food, go on a walk, watch Netflix- anything to get your mind off of academics for a little bit.

7. Know the end is near! And once the end arrives, you get a whole month of relaxation where you do not even have to look at a book if you don't want to!

Good luck studying!!!
