Bedroom Inspiration & Ideas

I mentioned in my last post that I am planning to redo my room in my parents' house for when I move back home. I have a vision of what I want, so I decided to share that with you today. Hopefully in about a month, I will be able to post pictures of the actual thing. I am going to start with the things I know for sure I am going to get, and then I'm going to post some of the other possibilities that I might need help deciding on :) Color scheme- white, gray, plum/eggplant and possibly black

I fell in love with this bedding set at Target last fall, and I knew that was what I wanted to base my new room on.

After deciding on that, I had a hard time choosing colors. My room at school is gray and pale yellow, so I knew that I wanted to stay away from yellow in this room. That is when I found these curtains on Amazon and knew that I wanted to do purple. 

I loved the ombre effect and especially loved the plum color at the bottom. Here are some of the other parts I want to get as far as bedding goes.

I also want to get these for my walls. I have a little shelf that they would look in white frames on.

Speaking of the walls, right now they are only painted halfway up with a border (will post before and after pics once my project gets done). I've had a hard time finding a border I like, which is where the black accents might tie in. This is the paint color I am looking at for my walls- Sherwin Williams Knitting Needles.

I really like this bird wallpaper border, and it would be easy to tie in bird accents all over the room- like this pillow and maybe this wall art above my headboard.
