New Year's Resoultions

I know some people think it's silly to wait until a new year to make changes in your life, but I think it's wonderful. As we enter another year, I am ready to make some positive changes in my life that will only help me out better in the long run. Feel free to comment and share your resolutions as well :)

1. Eat better. Less fast food, more home cooked meals, less processed food, and more fresh fruits and veggies. I'm going to be starting the 21 Day Fix on the 4th, and I am looking forward to sharing my journey on the blog!
2. Get into an exercise routine (and stick with it). The hardest part about exercising for me is getting the motivation to go to the gym. Once I am there, I love it. It's just getting the motivation to go that is so hard.
3. Read one devotion a day. I have been slacking on reading my daily devotions lately (and my phone even reminds me to read them!) I am usually too tired before bed, but I am going to start reading them in the morning when I get up before I start my day.
4. Read one book for pleasure per month. I go through phases where I can't get enough of reading books so I would like to continue to read for pleasure at night once my homework is complete. See my previous post for some book recommendations!
5. Attend church more often. One of my roommates and I decided that this would be a resolution that we worked on together. We aren't going to try to go every week, but we want to try at least two times a month- more often than either of us go right now.

I hope everyone is having a great New Year. I have finished the preparations for beginning to paint my room so the actual painting is going to be my project this weekend- looking forward to sharing this stressful process (and the end result) with y'all!
