I got my iPhone 5c in July for my birthday. I loved it at first. The size was great and I loved the battery life (lolololol because it was only perfect for like three weeks). Ever since then, I have had nothing but problems with the thing. My battery life sucks. There is no reason that my phone should be dead at 12 p.m. when I haven't used it all morning because I'm in class for three straight hours. Since that started happening (mid-september-ish), I've been doing what I can to make it work because I don't have another upgrade for several months.
I go through charging cables like they are underwear. Every. single. one. I have had since I got this phone has stopped working. My latest solution is an adapter to make my old iPhone 4 charger into an iPhone 5 one, and that only works half of the time because it has a conniption if it is not in the right position. It looks like this-
So this afternoon, I finally had enough. I was annoyed enough that I drove to Verizon to see what they could do. I don't really understand how their different stores work- Authorized Retailer, Premium Retailer, or Corporate- I know that you're supposed to go to the corporate stores for everything, but the closest one to me is over 45 minutes away. So I decided to give the premium retailer a shot because it was the closest.
I was completely blown away with the customer service. The girl was a huge help and didn't try to bullshit me about anything. We had to call customer service and they wanted to troubleshoot with me. By this time, my phone has been dead for a while and will not connect to any charger. So clearly that didn't work out too well and was the biggest waste of my time. Then he wanted me to hook up the phone to my computer and put it in recovery mode. AFTER I told him it was dead and wouldn't turn on. After. So by this point, I am annoyed beyond belief.
We hang up and call back to get another person, and what do you know? Within five minutes he has put in an order for my new phone and is having it shipped overnight. Thank the Lord for phone insurance. So now I only have to be phoneless for a day, and my new one will be here Tuesday.
