I Did It! | Graduation Weekend 2015

I have officially graduated from college! These last few days have been absolutely exhausting, and I am finally able to relax and update the blog!

This is a shot of the football field where we have our university commencement. Several people spoke, and we get to switch our tassels to the other side, so technically we are graduates after this ceremony, even though we do not get out diplomas until our department ceremonies the next day. This ceremony was at 9 a.m. and I am thankful because those black gowns were starting to get hot towards the end of the ceremony!

My graduation party was a joint party with my other three roommates, one who happens to also be my cousin. This is us with our grandma, my mom, and her stepmom. I wanted to make sure y'all got to see me in my dress that I contemplated about getting for several posts. I loved wearing it with my cowboy boots because it fit my personality and not a lot of other people did it. Apparently my grandma did not get the memo to wear our school colors ;)

These three are my wonderful roommates. Our party had a ton of people there from all of our families, so we had to wait until most people left before we could get some pictures of just the four of us. I loved that most of my family came to the party, but it was so hard to make sure I spoke to everyone and got to chat with them for a little bit, while trying to get a chance to eat the yummy food we had! We got catering from a company called Due South that has all of my favorite things- barbecue, mac and cheese, green beans, hush puppies, and sweet tea. So good

Here I am getting my diploma! My ceremony was at 8:30 in the morning, and I was running on very little sleep, but I am thankful that it was early in the day, rather than having to wait around all day.

Finally, I have my diploma in hand! It was an absolutely amazing graduation weekend. Now, if only I could catch up on sleep before I start graduate school this Wednesday!

Have an amazing rest of the weekend!
