I am halfway done with my first graduate class! I am loving it so far, and everyone at my new school is so nice! It's definitely been an adjustment moving from a huge campus to a much smaller campus.
Today I wanted to share with y'all some new products I have been using lately to enhance my makeup routine. I went to a Mary Kay party the other night and learned several different techniques for face makeup that I have been working to add into my routine. Since their products are so expensive, you already know that I had to hit up CVS to see what I could find for a much better deal ;)
1. Milani Baked Blush- Luminoso- I had never been a big fan of blush before the Mary Kay class, and I think it was because I could never find the right shade. The girl picked out this warmer, almost a bronzer type shade, and it looked amazing. I went to CVS the next day to find something close to it, and I came across this. I had never used Milani products before, but I absolutely love this blush, and the way it looks.
2. Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation- I have always been a BB Cream kind of girl because they are so light and don't feel or look cakey. I came across this product on Pinterest because somebody described it as perfect skin in a tube. So clearly I had to try it. It was definitely fate because I found the shade I wanted on clearance for less than four dollars at Target. There were two of them, so I snatched them up right away. This product goes on so smooth and it is so light that it feels like I am not wearing any foundation at all. We will have to see how it holds up in the summer humidity!
3. Wet n Wild Mattifying Powder- I have oily skin so I hate when my forehead gets shiny in the middle of the day. I used a translucent powder the other night at the Mary Kay party, and I was immediately hooked. The CVS I was at did not carry NYX products, so I chose to go with the this Wet n Wild version, and it's pretty great! I don't feel shiny or greasy all day, so it is a winner in my book!
4. ELF Daily Brush Cleaner- Seriously, how have I not discovered this product before now? I am constantly cleaning my brushes because they get so gross and clogged, preventing my makeup from going on smoothly. This product is only three dollars at Target and is so awesome.
Now for some pictures! I used to feel bleh about face makeup. It never really did anything for me, but now looking at my no makeup picture and comparing it with my full face picture, I can see a ton of differences and how good my skin looks when my makeup is done properly.
I hope everyone has an awesome weekend! I have class tonight then I will be hitting up the lake for the rest of the weekend!
