The other thing I love about football season is tailgating food. It doesn't get much better than stuffing your face full of dips and finger foods before going to cheer your team on! I want to share with y'all today a couple of my go to recipes for tailgating that are both easy and delicious!
Jalepeno Popper Dip
If there's one appetizer I adore, it would be jalepeno poppers. What's even better than jalepeno poppers? Jalepeno Popper DIP. I first found out about this a few years ago on Pinterest and it became a huge hit at football tailgates.
The recipe I follow can be found here on Spend With Pennies.
Buffalo Chicken Taquitos
I'm a sucker for taquitos- either made from frozen or from 7-eleven. I'm also a sucker for anything buffalo chicken. I found these on Pinterest and made them last week for a tailgate. This recipe is super easy because it uses canned chicken. You don't even have to buy and cook chicken! I couldn't find the exact size tortillas to use so I had to get big ones, but there was just too much tortilla. So next time I will be getting the little 6 inch ones and just make a lot of them!
This recipe can be found here on Taste and Tell Blog.
Ham and Cheese Sliders (aka Sassy Tailgate Sandwiches)
These are probably my favorite tailgating food of all time. My mom started making them last year and they are one of those things where you can't just have one! The mix of ham, cheese, mayo and melted butter on warm bread is just amazing. These are always the first thing to go at our tailgates. They are that good.
This recipe can be found here on The Girl Who Ate Everything.
Today is also my best friend's 21st birthday so I am looking forward to going home to celebrate with her this weekend!
Have a great day and go Hokies!
