AM Skincare and Beauty Routine

I've been wanting to post about my skincare and makeup routine for a while but I needed a day where I could sit down and break it down into simple steps. I have adapted my morning skincare routine from Liz Marie Blog, and you can find her post about her natural skincare routine here. I start out in the morning by washing my face with a handful of warm oatmeal. I just run it under warm water long enough for it to get soft then I rub it all over my face. I dry my face off then put a few drops of Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner on a cotton round and rub that all over my face. After that I moisturize with Boots No7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream which my Target just recently started carrying and I am super excited about it.

AM Cleansing Routine

After brushing my teeth, I do my makeup. Everyone seems to have a different routine for putting on makeup, so I am always curious to see how other people do it. Most days, I just wear mascara, eyeliner and concealer if I have a zit or two. On a good day, I do that and wear actual face makeup. I also am a big fan of the best drug store makeup so I am always trying new things out. The products below are what I am currently using and have been using for a while. I love Revlon ColorStay eyeliner. I have oily skin and my eyeliner always finds a way to smear, but the Revlon eyeliner has not let me down! I usually use two different mascaras on my lashes. I start out with Maybeline Mega Plush (blue) and finish off with my all time favorite Maybeline Falsies. I have never found another mascara that I love more than the Falsies one. After that I prime my face with Maybeline Baby Skin. This is the only primer I have ever used, but I want to try others to see what I like best. Then I apply BB cream, concealer and powder. I also like to add in ELF Essential Shimmering Facial Whip on a good day. This product is amazing and so cheap. I love it! After all that is done, I finish off with ELF setting spray.

Makeup Routine

I always save my hair for last. I try to only use heat on my hair 2 or 3 days a week. I shower at night and let my hair air dry. This is how it looks when I wake up in the morning. I got pretty lucky that my hair dries into nice looking waves.

I add in a little of Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray and shake it, then I am ready to go!

I have a pretty simple routine in the morning and it only takes me around twenty minutes to get ready. I'd love to hear about some of your morning routines!
