My Couch Is FINALLY Here | Experience with Ashley Furniture

I mentioned a while back about wanting to buy a new couch. I have bought a lot of furniture from Wayfair, but I was scared to buy a couch without seeing it first. I am the type of person that browses online before going into the store so I know what I am looking for. We have three main furniture stores in town. I looked online at Badcock and didn't see anything that caught my eye. I decided to look at Ashley Furniture next. I found a sectional that I loved. I went to the store on December 14 and saw it in person, and I knew I had to have it.

My in-store experience was fantastic. No one was pushy. They price matched to what the price was online. I was in and out in an hour. They told me it would be 4-6 weeks before it could be delivered because everything is made to order, which was not a big deal. I was not in a huge hurry to have it.

So I get a call on  December 28 to schedule delivery for January 1st. On December 31st, I moved out my old couch and took it to the dump, obviously so I could make room for my new couch. I get a call about an hour before my couch is supposed to be delivered on the 1st saying that it came in severely damaged and they would not be bringing it. AFTER I ALREADY MOVED OUT MY OLD COUCH.

Yes, I am grateful they did not bring it and me find out it was damaged when it got here. But now I was going to be couch-less for Lord knows how long. A week and a half goes by, and I have heard NOTHING. I give Ashley a call, and they give me the runaround saying it should be in soon and they will call me soon to set up a new delivery... SOON MY ASS. I call back the next week, and I get the same answer. I call again last week and the man literally says to me "It came in two days ago. You mean no one has called you?" So I went off because I was so frustrated. They set up delivery for the following Tuesday. I get a call later that afternoon from the exact same number. Only this time it is a lady, and she says she is calling to set up delivery. I told her about my conversation with the man that morning and it turns out HE NEVER SCHEDULED MY DELIVERY.

Fast forward to today, delivery day. I hoped and I prayed every day for the last week that the snow expected for today would hold off. Thankfully it did. My beautiful couch was delivered in the middle of my delivery window, and I couldn't be happier.

Would I order from Ashley again? If I didn't want the recliner that matches this sofa, my answer would be absolutely not. I am going to have to debate long and hard to decide if it would really be worth it.
