Planner Comparison- Plum Paper vs. Erin Condren

For the longest time, I thought people were crazy to spend a ton of money on a book that they used to write things down for a year. I used to roll my eyes at those girls who carried their Lilly planners all around campus because I thought they were way too expensive. Now, here I am reviewing two different expensive planners, both of which have completely changed my Type A self for the better.

In attempts to be more organized at the beginning of last year, I decided if I spent the money on a fancy planner, I would likely use it. I am by no means one of those neat and organized planners who decorates every single minute of their lives (YouTube it), but I am working on ways to keep myself organized and on top of my shit. I chose a Plum Paper planner (Etsy Shop- here) because my cousin had just bought one and fell in love. After picking a design I liked, I ordered it and patiently  impatiently waited for it to arrive. From the very first day, I was in love, and always looking for new parties, appointments, or assignments to write down.

Here is how the planner is laid out-

Monthly

I love the weekly and daily checklists, and I also love the notes section of the monthly calendar because it gives me a spot to write down things I need to get done by the end of the month. This planner also comes with different daily layouts- depending on what you like.

Overall, I loved this planner as my first "expensive" planner. It is a cheaper option in the field of expensive planners, and there are a lot of different designs and ways you can customize it.

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago in this post about how I already ordered my 2016 planner because I had important dates I needed to remember. I had browsed the Erin Condren Life Planners (website- here) before, but I couldn't let myself spend that much on a planner, until I found a design I loved. I decided to splurge, and even though I haven't used it yet, I can honestly say it was worth every penny. From the momeny I first opened that beautifully decorated cardboard box, I was in love. Every page of this planner is attractive.

Here is the layout-

 Weekly

I like that this planner is broken out into three sections (you can also get the Plum Paper one this way), because I will be able to break my days down into personal, student teaching, and grad school. This planner also comes with a ton of stickers to help make your days personal and adorable. I am excited for 2016 so I can start using this planner!

Overall, this planner really surprised me. It is gorgeous and well laid out.

Both of these planners definitely have their perks, and I am glad I have gotten to experience both of them!

Have y'all tried them? Do you like one over the other?
