As the weather gets warmer, I change up my breakfast routine to smoothies instead of my normal oatmeal or Luna bar and a banana. I have this smoothie maker which I love because it also acts as the cup, so you can drink directly from it!
Fresh fruit is one of my favorite things in the entire world. I almost cried in the middle of Kroger today when I saw they had pre-cut watermelon back on the shelves in the produce section... may or may not have eaten the whole thing today ;) I go back and forth between what kind of fruit (fresh or frozen) I use for my smoothies. Blueberries tend to be really expensive until the warmer months roll around, so I tend to buy them frozen. I almost always buy strawberries fresh, and I always buy bananas fresh. In order to get a serving of vegetables in my smoothies, I add a handful of spinach- I just throw in some protein powder, and it completely takes the spinach taste out.
My smoothie recipe tends to go something like this:
1/2 c unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 scoop protein powder
1/2 cup blueberries or strawberries
1/2 banana
1 handful of spinach
I just blend it all together, and it's ready in about a minute. Quick, easy, and filling breakfast for one! I will add a couple of ice cubes if none of my fruit has been frozen, just to make it a little colder.

I hope all of you have been enjoying the warm weather! I am hoping it is here to stay!
Have a great week!
