Wednesday I volunteered for a 4-H event at the high school where I graduated. Talk about deja vu. Being back in a building for the first time in three years brings back so many memories. We did a real life simulation activity with all of the seniors, and I recognized a lot of siblings of people I graduated with. Thursday I got my passport renewed, which is such a fun process. It literally takes five seconds and costs so much money, and an arm and a leg to get an appointment, which will probably end up being 45 minutes out of your way like mine ended up being. On Friday, I went to visit one of my cousins at her college, and we went out to lunch and she showed me around town. It is amazing to see how different colleges vary in all aspects. Then I went out dinner with some friends to a local Italian place that I had forgotten about. Calzones definitely have a special place in my heart.
This morning I had a meeting for the day camp where I work in the summertime. I am working with kindergarten and first grade this summer, and I am so excited. It will be a nice change of pace from the fourth and fifth grade group I had last summer. I am excited to start planning some fun summer activities for them, that I will hopefully share on the blog throughout the summer!
